Harnessing the Power of International Solar Farms

Genbatt Ltd has taken the bold step of looking into the international market for Green Energy and has recognised that the solar energy in Jamaica is significantly greater than in many other territories. In addition, Jamaica is an excellent country with a stable economy, good weather, with a vibrant and intelligent community.  The Genbatt Ltd founder already has links in the region and is using those links to expand his green credentials.  Jamaica has a significant need to improve its green energy and reduce its carbon output.

To this aim, Genbatt Ltd has opened Genbatt Jamaica and is looking to build a solar, wind and hydrogen production plant. The general aim is to build a 55 MWh solar farm, a 5 MWh wind farm and a 5 MWh hydrogen production facility.

How We Design International Solar Farms

At this stage, we are looking to build, own and operate the plant to offer low cost green energy 50 MWh to the grid and 5 to 10 MWh for hydrogen production. As the three elements become operational, the sale of the hydrogen will become the primary goal of the business, offering to both the Jamaican market and the greater Caribbean green hydrogen for all kinds of uses. Replacing LNG with hydrogen could work very effectively in distilleries, breweries, hotel kitchens and a range of industries.

 

We have an office at 13 Haining Road, Kingston 5 on the third floor. It is our base for now, and as we expand, we will introduce more and more of our business services into the region.
